About

This blog  provides information, ongoing  support for the mobile tablet loan scheme in Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) . The work being done is informed by previous interrogations into the nature and process of mobile technology implementation in the Dublin Institute of Technology. These involved the use of mobile devices for learning and teaching in multiple contexts, and examining the underlying processes and procedures.

On this blog ,you will find ongoing updates, ideas, suggestions and links about the use of mobile devices for enhancing learning and teaching aka Mobile learning or mLearning.

We are adopting the definition of mobile learning from the Mobile learning network (MoLeNet) which states that Mobile learning is :

“the exploitation of ubiquitous handheld technologies, together with wireless and mobile phone networks, to facilitate, support, enhance and extend the reach of teaching and learning.”

So, we are interested in the technologies that enable the mobility of the user and device as well as the learning facilitated or afforded by using the mobile devices.
